چکیده

Abstract Maize is one of the strategic food crops and has economic value could be developed because its position as main carbohydrate protein source after rice. This a reference for us to increase maize cultivation, seeing role quite large, availability less stable every year. can grow optimally on productive land marginal land, but at this time more used rice production. One alternative production especially dryland. The problem in dryland limited water. way overcome by inoculating Rhizobacteria which growth resistance drought. possess tremendous potential modulating physiological response water deprivation, thus ensuring plant survival under such stressful conditions. research aimed find rhizobacteria have secondary metabolite exploration isolation was conducted University Muhammadiyah Malang. results obtained 10 isolates capable synthesizing extracellular metabolites: osmoprotectants, phytohormones, organopesticides that plants. analysis GS-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry) showed three compounds were synthesized. osmoprotectants compound synthesize ware found namely: (a) (2E)-3,7-dimethylocta-2,6-dienal 16.66%;(b) (E)-hept-2-enal12.55%;(c)2-methylsulfanylethanamine 5.34%; (d) 1,3,5-trimethoxybenzene 4.42%. It also phytohormones: cinnolino [4,3-b] quinoxaline 6.00%; (b) 1-methyl-2-phenylindole 5.90%; (c) 1H-Indole 3.64%; N-2-Fluorenylperfluorpropionamid 3.02%. These able synthesize: 2-chloro-4-methoxy phenol 11.32%; (E)-non-2-enal 9.87%; 4-chloro-2,6-dipyridin-2-ylpyridine 7.07%; 2-(4-chlorophenyl) hexane nitrile 6.45%. Osmprotectant aim protect cells from drought conditions, phytohormones stimulate pests diseases.

Maize (Zea mays L.).

Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation is an effective method for introducing genes into maize. In this chapter, we describe a detailed protocol for genetic transformation of the maize genotype Hi II. Our starting plant material is immature embryos cocultivated with an Agrobacterium strain carrying a standard binary vector. In addition to step-by-step laboratory transformation proced...

Epistasis in Maize (zea Mays

ISHER (1918) provided a framework for the characterization of genotypic variance whereby he partitioned it into three components: ( 1 ) a portion associated with the average effects of genes, (2) a portion associated with dominance effects (allelic interactions) of genes, and (3) a portion associated with epistatic effects (nonallelic interactions) of genes. A logical method for the further sub...

The characterization of ligand-specific maize (Zea mays) profilin mutants.

Profilins are low-molecular-mass (12-15 kDa) cytosolic proteins that are major regulators of actin assembly in all eukaryotic cells. In general, profilins from evolutionarily diverse organisms share the ability to bind to G-actin, poly-(L-proline) (PLP) and proline-rich proteins, and polyphosphoinositides. However, the functional importance of each of these interactions remains unclear and migh...

Phosphate solubilizing rhizobacteria from an organic farm and their influence on the growth and yield of maize (Zea mays L.).

Organic farming is gaining popularity all over the world as it avoids the use of synthetic chemicals. Plant production in organic farming mainly depends on nutrient release as a function of mineralization processes in soils. In the present study, efficient phosphate mineralizing bacteria were isolated and their efficacy tested in plant mineral uptake and soil fertility of an organic field. Amon...

Effects of aluminum toxicity on maize (Zea mays L.) seedlings

Aluminum toxicity is one of the most deleterious factors for plant growth in acidic soils because over 50% of the world’s potentially arable lands are acidic. In recent years, considerable research has been conducted to understand the mechanisms of Al toxicity and tolerance in plants. This paper reviews the effects of different concentration of Al on plant shoot, root physiological parameters s...
